Atomic-Bombed Streetcar

Atomic-Bombed Streetcar
A Hiroshima Electric Railway series 650 no. 654 streetcar; despite sustaining considerable damage in the August 6, 1945 atomic bombing, this streetcar remained in operation until 2006. Outfitted with air conditioning units and IC card readers during its 60 years in operation, this streetcar has grown and evolved through the ages alongside the restoration of Hiroshima. About once a month, we open the interior of the streetcar to the public.
